Julie & Lincoln | Hill n’ Dale Farms Paris, Kentucky Wedding Weekend

Julie and Lincoln’s wedding weekend in Paris, Kentucky was nothing short of unforgettable — a thoughtful, joy-filled celebration rooted in family, legacy, and intentional connection. Julie Foucher, renowned CrossFit champion and physician, married Lincoln Brown, a social impact–focused investor and the son of former Kentucky Governor John Y. Brown Jr. and Phyllis George. Their wedding video was beautifully captured by Still & Story Films, alongside Kelly Lynn Photography, preserving every meaningful moment of the weekend.

The celebration began with a rehearsal dinner and welcome party at The Apiary in Lexington, setting the tone for a weekend centered on storytelling and togetherness. The space was elevated with lush, seasonal florals designed by Blooms N Blossoms, creating an inviting and elegant atmosphere for guests as they arrived. The evening featured heartfelt and often humorous speeches from Pamela Brown, Wilungula Alondamwani Brown, Amanda Weitekamp, Cindy Crawford, Bobby Trussell Jr., Jason Karp, Jim Host, Matt Sharp, and many others. One particularly memorable toast playfully referenced the “special herbs and spices” that make a marriage thrive — a nod to the KFC family legacy of Lincoln’s late father. Guests enjoyed bourbon tastings, live bluegrass music, and entertainment from Brooklyn-based magician Boyce Magic, creating an atmosphere that felt both celebratory and uniquely Kentucky.

The wedding day itself unfolded at Hill ‘n Dale Farms, beautifully designed by Refined Social Events. Guests were guided to their seats as the ceremony began in classic Kentucky fashion with a traditional call to post. Officiated by Pastor Mike Breaux, the ceremony opened with a reading from the couple’s close friend Bob Goff, followed by a moving vocal performance from Dr. Everett McCorvey. Julie and Lincoln exchanged deeply personal vows, reflecting on their journey and the future they are building together. After being pronounced husband and wife, the couple invited their bridal party to surround them as guests reached out in prayer, offering blessings and hopes for their marriage — a powerful, communal moment that left many in tears. As they recessed, guests released butterflies, symbolizing transformation and new beginnings.

Cocktail hour was filled with meaningful interactive elements. Guests made wishes on rose quartz to represent love and connection and signed a Kintsugi bowl — a symbol of beauty formed through imperfections and repair, reflecting how community strengthens a marriage. Signature bar carts, passed hors d’oeuvres, and live string music set an elegant tone, while Kate Nelson Fine Art and her team painted live guest portraits as keepsakes from the day. Party On The Moon then led guests to the reception tent with a high-energy second-line–style procession of drums and trumpet.

Following dinner, guests were treated to heartfelt speeches from the matron of honor, the groom’s sister Pamela Brown, and the couple’s adopted son, Wilungula Alondamwani Brown. Julie and Lincoln shared their first dance, followed by Julie’s father-daughter dance. One of the most emotional moments of the evening came during Lincoln’s dance with his sister, when Julie surprised him by inviting Costantino Carrara to perform “This Is Me” on piano — played on Lincoln’s late mother’s personal piano. The song and artist had helped Lincoln through the loss of both his parents, and the moment brought the entire room to tears.

As the night continued, Party On The Moon kept the dance floor alive with incredible energy and vocals. A late-night lounge opened for guests featuring custom coffee drinks, ice cream, macarons, cake, and nostalgic family photos and memorabilia that reflected the couple’s deep love for family and history. Guests were also invited to leave personal voice messages for the couple on a vintage recording phone — a keepsake of love and laughter they’ll cherish for years to come.

The celebration reached its peak with a surprise performance by the couple’s friend Laura Bell Bundy, who joined the band for an unforgettable rendition of “Proud Mary.” The night concluded with a joyful sparkler send-off as Julie and Lincoln danced their way into married life, surrounded by love, music, and a community that showed up for them in every possible way.
